Iterative Design

I think we’re already seeing the beginnings of a new way of production. It’s called Iterative Design. It basically works on the cyclical principles of building, analyzing, refining, then rebuilding again, etc…

The reason why it’s exploding is because it’s extremely cheap to refine the product using this process whereas you would rarely see a product getting to version 3 in times before the Industrial Revolution.

Software and now the mass adoption of 3D printers in the business as well as hobbyist world is an indication that we are about to embark on an entirely different means of production. And I mean literally. There are plans to build a 3D printed building!
